Tools Needed
Prior to performing this procedure, you will need to have the following tools:
- (1) Standar Phillips screwdriver
- (1) Small Phillips screwdriver
- 11/32” nut driver or socket wrench
- Voltage Meter
Powering Down the Auto Sentry flex
WARNING: Failure to turn off the Auto Sentry increases the risk of serious bodily injury or death;
and also, may cause the credit card reader to go into a tamper state and if that happens, the credit card reader will have to be replaced.
- On the site server desktop, click on the VNC icon for the Auto Sentry flex.
- On the menu bar, click the Windows Flag icon.
- Click the Shutdown button.
- Wait until the Auto Sentry flex display goes to a white screen.
- With the hex key, open the rear doors of the Auto Sentry flex.
- Turn off the power switch inside the Auto Sentry head.
- Turn off both breakers inside the Auto Sentry head by pressing the blue buttons on the breakers until they click out.
- Turn off the breaker inside the Auto Sentry base by pressing the blue button on the breaker until it clicks out.
- Shut off the electricity to the Auto Sentry by turning off the Auto Sentry breaker inside the ICS® power distribution box.
Remove Existing Power Supply
- Unscrew DC power cables from 5v, 12v, 36v and 24v screws and the main ground above the power supply and the ground from the screw second from the top.
- Remove (3) #8 lock nuts from the bottom of mounting bracket.
- Pull power supply out towards you.
- Remove plastic cover from 120V AC power feed on rear of power supply.
- Loosen (3) phillipshead screws holding 120V AC power and remove the black, white and green wires.
- Remove power supply from unit.
Installing Cosel Power Supply
- Remove plastic covering from 120V AC side.
- Loosen the (3) screws on the rear of power supply:
- Place the black wire on the screw labeled “L”.
- Place the white wire on the screw labeled “N”.
- Place the green wire on the screw with no label.
- Place power supply into place and secure with (3) #8 lock nuts.
Adjusting Voltage Output
Prior to attaching the DC power wires, you must verify that each power level is correct(***please note that early versions of the Autosentry Flex had the power supply installed in upside down):
- Turn on Auto Sentry
- Take voltage meter and place red lead onto top left screw and black onto bottom left screw, adjust plastic screw above to dial it in to 5.0 Volts DC.
- Repeat this for the 12v and the 24v power.
- If you have a Delarue Bill dispenser you will need to adjust the 34V power up to 36V in order for it to operate correctly.
Installing DC Component Wires
- Connect wires to appropriate screw, color coding is as follows:
- Red –5 Volts
- Yellow –12 Volts
- Blue –36 Volts
- Orange –24 Volts
- Connect main ground to top screw and ground bill dispenser ground to second screw.
Powering Up the Auto Sentry flex
- Turn on the electricity to the Auto Sentry flex by turning on the Auto Sentry breaker inside the ICS power distribution box.
- Turn the breakers on inside the Auto Sentry flex by pressing the blue buttons on the breakers until they click in.
- Inside the Auto Sentry flex, turn on the power switch to boot the system.
