ADDING THE APALLINONE TO THE AUTO SENTRY PETRO IN THE ORIGINAL MODEL

NOTE: Keep all hardware organized as you work.
Parts Included
Powering Down the Auto Sentry Petro
WARNING: Failure to turn off the Auto Sentry increases the risk of serious bodily injury or death; and also, causes the credit card reader to go into a tamper state that will cause it to be replaced.
- On the site server desktop, click on the VNC icon for the Auto Sentry.
- On the menu bar, click the Windows flag icon.
- Click the Shutdown button.
- Wait until the Auto Sentry display goes to a white screen.
- Open the front doors of the Auto Sentry.
- Turn off the power switch inside the Auto Sentry.
- Turn off both breakers inside the Auto Sentry by pressing the blue buttons on the breakers
until they click out. - Shut off the electricity to the Auto Sentry by turning off the Auto Sentry breaker inside the
ICS power distribution box.
Adding the Auto Passport All-in-one RFID Reader in the original model of the Auto Sentry Petro
- Locate the DINRAIL strip with terminal blocks below the power supply in the base of the Petro. Remove the center grey lock block and all terminal blocks to the right.
- Remove the network coupler from the network coupler bracket by pressing the metal tab on the top of the coupler and pushing down.
- Remove the 2 nuts holding the network coupler bracket on the left side, and the one nut holding the DINRAIL on the right side. Use an 11/32” nut driver or socket.
- Remove the DINRAL assembly as is and shift it to the right so that the right side screw stud is in the middle of the second slot from the right end of the DINRAIL. For the 2 screw studs for the network coupler bracket, the right stud should be in the first slot from the left and the left stud at the left edge of the DINRAIL. Attach the 3 nuts removed above to secure the DINRAIL in place. Shift all the terminal blocks on the DINRAL as far left as you can
- Attach the provided new terminal blocks in this order. Be sure to attach them by hooking them to the bottom edge of the DINRAL and snapping the quick release tab on the other side to the top edge of the DINRAIL.
- Grey lock block
- Orange terminal block with cover on left side.
- Black terminal block
- Orange terminal block with cover on left side.
- Yellow terminal block
- White terminal block
- Grey lock block
- Original black breaker terminal block with breaker still wired
- Original White terminal block still wired
- Original green/yellow terminal block still wired
- Remove the GROUND label from the back plate and move it to the right under the green/yellow
terminal block. - Attach the provided power label to the back plate under the 5 new terminal blocks.
- Locate the provided orange and black power wires. Attach the orange wire to the top of the new left orange terminal block, and the black wire to the top of the new black terminal block.
- Attach the power wires to the power supply – the orange to 24V+, and the black wire to 24V-.
- Locate the provided COM cable at attach the plug end to any available COM port on the motherboard.
- Route the other end of the COM cable to the base of the Petro. Attach the three COM cable wires to the terminal blocks as follows:
- The red wire labelled Tx to the top of the new orange terminal block in the middle
- The black wire marked ground to the top of the new yellow terminal block
- The white wire marked GND to the top of the new white terminal block
- The white wire marked GND to the top of the new white terminal block
- Attach the new APALLINONE antenna to the truss and route the cable through the conduit and into the Petro. Attach the 5 wires in the cable to the new terminal blocks as follows:
- The white wire labelled 24V+ to the bottom of the new orange terminal block on the left side
- The black wire labelled 24V- to the bottom f the new black terminal block
- The white wire labelled Tx to the bottom of the new orange terminal block in the center
- The black wire labelled Rx to the bottom of the new yellow terminal block
- The black wire labelled GND to the bottom of the new white terminal block
- Turn on the electricity to the Auto Sentry Petro by turning on the breaker inside the ICS power distribution box. Turn on the breakers inside the Auto Sentry Petro by clicking the blue buttons until they click in. Turn on the power switch inside the Auto Sentry Petro to boot the system. Please contact ICS Technical Support and have them configure the new equipment.
