Mounting in an Auto Sentry with Chip and Pin
PART A – For mounting in an Auto Sentry Flex
- Remove the credit card reader security plate from the inside of the AS left side. Remove the square piece of tape covering the camera hole above the card reader.
- If new graphics are being provided, remove the old graphics and apply the new ones.
- From inside the AS left side, use a small sharp knife to punch a hole in the 4 small round screw holes around the camera opening. Then from the outside, use the knife to cut away the graphics material completely from the screw holes.
- Use the knife to cut a line from screw hole to screw hole to create a square. Then remove the square.
- Use a screwdriver and hammer to bang out the round metal cutout of the camera.
- Attach square vinyl trim ring around the camera opening, being sure to align the screw holes in the vinyl and the metal cabinet.
- With help from a second person, attach the camera bezel to the outside front of the cabinet using the 4 #8-32x1/4” screws provided. Be sure not to get fingerprints on the glass portion of bezel. Also, be sure to keep the bezel straight.
Remove the cap from the camera lens. Attach the camera to the standoffs on the inside of the head using 2 #4-40x3/8” screws with flat washers and lock washers provided. Be sure to orient the camera such that the 2 cable connections are in the lower left corner.
- Attach the USB cable to the camera. The white plug on the cable goes to the white connector on the back of the camera, with the keyway to the bottom. The plug will only go on one way.
- Route the cable down and to the right, under the bill acceptor, and through the opening at the front lower corner of the center security wall. Secure the cable to the main harness with a wire tie, but leave a little slack between the camera and the harness. Follow the main harness to the right to the coin hopper bracket under the motherboard. Attach the USB cable to any available USB port on the motherboard. Then fold and tuck the excess cable behind the coin hopper bracket. Be sure the cable is out of the way of the operation of the coin hopper drawer.
