Replacing Thermostat in the Auto Sentry flex

Required Tools

• Small flat head screwdriver

Powering Down the Auto Sentry flex

WARNING: Failure to turn off the Auto Sentry increases the risk of serious bodily injury or death;
and also, may cause the credit card reader to go into a tamper state and if that happens, the credit card reader will have to be replaced.

1. On the site server desktop, click on the VNC icon for the Auto Sentry flex.
2. On the menu bar, click the Windows Flag icon.
3. Click the Shutdown button.
4. Wait until the Auto Sentry flex display goes to a white screen.
5. With the hex key, open the rear doors of the Auto Sentry flex.
6. Turn off the power switch inside the Auto Sentry head.
7. Turn off both breakers inside the Auto Sentry head by pressing the blue buttons on the breakers until they click out. 
8. Turn off the breaker inside the Auto Sentry base by pressing the blue button on the breaker until it clicks out.
9. Shut off the electricity to the Auto Sentry by turning off the Auto Sentry breaker inside the ICS power distribution box.
   
   

Replace Thermostat

1. After powering down the Auto Sentry flex.
2. Move Red dial all the way to left and blue dial all the way to the right. This will prevent any voltage on the wires.
3. To remove thermostat from din rail, push down on thermostat and lift bottom away from din rail and it will release.
4. Unscrew black, blue and red leads from thermostat using small flat head screw driver. ***Please pay attention to their order so you can place them back in the correct spot.***
5. Place wires into new thermostat in the correct order.
6. Snap thermostat back onto din rail by placing the top on first and pushing down while snapping the bottom on to the din rail.

Powering Up the Auto Sentry flex

1. Turn on the electricity to the Auto Sentry Flex by turning on the Auto Sentry breaker inside the ICS power distribution box.
2. Turn the breakers on inside the Auto Sentry flex by pressing the blue buttons on the breakers until they click in.
3. Inside the Auto Sentry flex, turn on the power switch to boot the system.
