and also, may cause the credit card reader to go into a tamper state and if that happens, the credit card reader will have to be replaced.
- On the site server desktop, click on the VNC icon for the Auto Sentry flex.
- On the menu bar, click the Windows Flag icon.
- Click the Shutdown button.
- Wait until the Auto Sentry flex display goes to a white screen.
- With the hex key, open the rear doors of the Auto Sentry flex.
- Turn off the power switch inside the Auto Sentry head.
- Turn off both breakers inside the Auto Sentry head by pressing the blue buttons on the breakers until they click out.
- Turn off the breaker inside the Auto Sentry base by pressing the blue button on the breaker until it clicks out.
- Shut off the electricity to the Auto Sentry by turning off the Auto Sentry breaker inside the ICS® power distribution box.
- Open the door to the base and pull out the bill dispenser drawer.
- Remove the old style bill cup from the front of the AS. Install the new style bill cup using the same 8 nylon lock nuts from the original bill cup.
- Attach the new side walls to the drawer. The wall with the cut-out goes to the back side of the drawer where there is the same cut-out in the drawer. Attach with 3 each ¼”-20x3/4” bolts, lock washers and fender washers. Push the wall back against the fender washers and tighten in place. Attach the front wall to the inner row of screws on the front of the drawer using 3 ea. 1/4”-20x3/4” bolts, flat washers and lock washers. Leave the bolts loose until the shelf is attached in the next step.
- Attach the shelf to the walls using 4 ea. ¼”-20x1/2” screws. The corners with the 3 holes go toward the front of the AS, the corners with the 2 holes toward the back. When the shelf is tight, tighten the 3 bolts for the front wall.
- Attach the 2 rubber grommets to the round opening in the walls. Feed the power and data cables from inside the Auto Sentry through the grommet in the back wall.
- Find the 2 new cables AS3CBL01AGPT (power cable – dark fiber sheath) and AS2CBL61GPT (data cable-grey outer insulation). Feed the smaller of the 2 connectors on the power cable thru the grommet on the front wall, and feed the smaller of the 2 connectors on the data cable thru the grommet on the front wall, between the drawer and shelf. Attach them to the Auto Sentry power and data cables. Attach the CABLEMOUNTFCM2 to the drawer, under the shelf, about 1 inch back from the front edge and center from left and right. Secure the power cable and data cable here to keep them from sliding around.
- Find the clamp that held the main bill dispenser power and data cables to the old walls. Remove the ¼” screw holding the shelf to the wall at the rear left corner of the shelf and attach the clamp here with the 2 Auto Sentry power and data cables.
- Take the new Gen-Mega (GM) bill dispenser from the box. Remove the cassettes. Place the GM on the shelf with the cassette openings toward the front of the AS. Align the screw holes on the front edge of the shelf with the screw holes in the bottom front edge of the GM. The front of the GM
(toward the front of the AS) is to be positioned so that it is in line with the front edge of the shelf. Attach the GM to the shelf with 4 ea. #8-32x3/8” screws and keps nuts, 2 on the front side of the shelf and 2 on the back side.
- Run the cables from the grommet on the front wall up the side of the GM and attach to the main circuit board on the GM as shown in the picture. Secure the cable about ½ way up the side of the GM to the main harness on the GM using a wire tie. Feed any extra cable thru the grommet and between the shelf and the drawer.
Remove the keys from the cassettes, open the cassettes, and insert bills. Insert the cassettes into the GM. Be sure you have installed the update to the Wash Connect software with the updated Device Interface Application for the operation of the GM.
