Conversion from IDTech to TXP in Auto Sentry Petro and a New Decal
Powering Down the Auto Sentry Petro
WARNING: Failure to power off the Auto Sentry Petro increases the risk of serious bodily injury or death, and also causes the credit card reader to go into a tamper state which will then have to be replaced.
- On the site server desktop, click on the VNC icon for the Auto Sentry Petro.
- On the menu bar, click the Windows flag icon.
- Click the Shutdown button.
- Wait until a white screen appears on the Auto Sentry Petro display.
- Open the rear door of the Auto Sentry Petro.
- Turn off the power switch inside the Auto Sentry Petro.
- Inside the Auto Sentry, press the blue buttons on the breakers until they click out to turn off.
- Shut off the electricity to the Auto Sentry Petro by turning off the Auto Sentry Petro breaker inside the ICS power distribution box.
Removing Card Reader
- Remove the plastic panel from the front door.
- Remove the decal from the front of the door.
- Disconnect the wires from the IDTech card reader and NFC reader.
- Remove the IDTech card reader and NFC reader, and set aside the hardware to use later.
- Remove the blocker plate above the card reader, and set aside the hardware to use later.
Installing the TXP Card Reader and Decal
- Install the (2) new blocker plates where the card readers were.
- Install the new TXP card reader where the blocker plate was located.
NOTE: The TXP card reader must be mounted angled downward toward the back of the door. - Route the USB cable for the card reader to the motherboard and attach to any available USB port.
- Attach new decal.
- Attach plastic panel.
Powering On the Auto Sentry Petro
- Turn the breakers on inside the Auto Sentry Petro by pressing the blue button(s) on the breakers until they click in.
- Inside the Auto Sentry Petro, turn on the power switch to boot the system.
- Power on the electricity to the Auto Sentry Petro by turning on the Auto Sentry Petro breaker inside the ICS power distribution box.
