This guide demonstrates the installation, updates, and configuration process for the ICS graphics on Payment Terminals and Entrance Signs. This procedure assumes that only the Wash and Club Service Images are being updated and that your payment terminal can display two different language options. Please reach out to the ICS support department at any time should you need assistance with following these instructions.
Terminology:
Touch ES – Entrance Sign Software that must be restarted for certain graphics changes to apply
TouchPOSReady – Payment Terminal Software that must be restarted for certain graphics changes to apply
.PNG – File type for Entrance Sign Images
.BMP – File type for Payment Terminal Images
Primary – Primary Language images (English as an example)
Secondary – Secondary Language images (Spanish/French as an example)
Service items/images – Wash and Club Service PLU’s/images
Order of Operations
- Acquire Service Images for Needed Graphics
- Download Service images on the Payment Terminal
- Download Service images on the Entrance Sign
- Saving Service Images Button files in WashConnect
- Testing
Acquire Service Images for Needed Graphics
This can be done through your own means or by contacting The Agency at ICS for creation of the necessary BMP/PNG files.
If creating on your own, please mind the following graphics properties:
- PNG files must be used on the Entrance sign.
- PNG’s must be made in 4 sizes:
- Small(S)
- Medium(M)
- Large(L)
- Extra Large(X)
- PNG’s must be made in 4 sizes:
- PNG files must have different resolutions for each of these sizes:

- S = 465 x 81
- M = 465 x 100
- L = 465 x 150
- X = 465 x 230

- BMP files must be used on the Payment Terminals.
- BMP’s must be made in 4 sizes:
- Small(S)
- Medium(M)
- Large(L)
- Extra Large(X)
- BMP’s must be made in 4 sizes:
- BMP files must have different resolutions for each of these sizes depending on which size display is on your Auto Sentries
- 15” displays must have the following resolutions for the 4 sizes:
- S = 465 x 81
- M = 465 x 100
- L = 465 x 150
- X = 465 x 230
- 17” displays must have the following resolutions for the 4 sizes:
- S = 582 x 108
- M = 582 x 133
- L = 582 x 200
- X = 582 x 306
- 15” displays must have the following resolutions for the 4 sizes:
- Every service image (BMP or PNG) should have the size indicator (S, M, L or X) placed at the end of the service image name.
- Payment Terminal Example: “Wash1S.BMP, Wash1M.BMP, Wash1L.BMP, Wash1X.BMP” are all needed if we want to make a service image for Wash1 to show on my payment terminal.
- Entrance Sign Example: “Wash1S.PNG, Wash1M.PNG, Wash1L.PNG, Wash1X.PNG” are all needed if we want to make a service image for Wash1 to show on my Entrance Sign.
- Please ensure the wash service name matches on the images that are loaded onto the Entrance Sign and Payment Terminal, any discrepancies will cause issues.
Download Service Images on each Payment Terminal
- On each payment terminal, make a backup of the following folders (the folder will depend on the screen size)
- 15” Displays = D:\ICS\BMPFiles
- 17” Displays = D:\ICS\BMPFiles-Flex17
- Upload the new image files to the following folders (the folder will depend on the screen size)
- Primary language 15” Displays = D:\ICS\BMPFiles\Primary\Custom
- Secondary language 15” Displays = D:\ICS\BMPFiles\Secondary\Custom
- Primary language 17” Displays = D:\ICS\BMPFiles-Flex17\Primary\Custom
- Secondary language 17” Displays = D:\ICS\BMPFiles-Flex17\Secondary\Custom
- If prompted to overwrite, replace, or skip files, select an option to overwrite or replace.
- Proceed to the Checking Service Images on WashConnect section if you do not need to download Common images onto Entrance Signs.
Download Service Images on the Entrance Signs
- On each Entrance Sign, make a backup of the following folders (if available):
- D:\ICS\TouchES\Assets
- D:\ICS\Assets
- Upload the new image files to the following folders (if available):
- D:\ICS\TouchES\Assets
- D:\ICS\Assets• If prompted to overwrite, replace or skip files, choose the option to overwrite or replace.
Saving Service Images in WashConnect
Check or Change the button file field within Sales Items or Club Services in WashConnect.
- Log into WashConnect from the same level that the service items were created.
- If saving a Wash Service image, select Configuration > Goods and Services > Sales Items.

If saving a Club Service image, select Configuration > Goods and Services > Club Services. - Locate the Wash (Sales Item) or Club Service that needs a Service Image.
- Edit the item.
- Select Edit > Sales Item (Wash)

Select Edit > Club Service - In the Button File box, type in the name of the Service Image, omitting the size indicator (S,M,L, and XL).
- Example: Wash1 is the Button file entry for the Wash1 Service image that needs to show on the Payment Terminals and Entrance Signs.
- Please ensure the wash service names match on the images that are loaded onto the and Payment Terminal and Entrance Sign; any discrepancies will cause issues.
- Save the Service.
- Repeat these steps for every Service that needs to be displayed on the Payment Terminals &/or Entrance Signs.
Testing:
- Test on the payment terminal and entrance signs by viewing the service on the payment terminal.
- Purchase the service.
- Verify the service image is on the Entrance Sign after the wash is at the front of the stack.
- For testing, you do not need to actually wash or process the service. After the image is displayed on the entrance sign, you may remove it from the stack and refund the purchase, if needed.
- Please verify the previous steps, and call ICS Technical Support if you are still experiencing issues after following these steps.
