Controller Services Setup in WBC software
In order to make a wash service, the tunnel controller is the first place to begin the set up process. These instructions will assume your site is using a tunnel controller like the Tunnel Master wbc, but the concept will be similar if you are not using this device.
- Log into the Tunnel Master wbc Controller.
a. The Username and Password for this can be changed, please work with your team if you do not have access to this information. - If needed, create relays for this service following these instructions.
- Create a Service following these instructions.
- Make note of the PLU number of the service as this will be referenced in the next steps.
WashConnect Controller Services
WashConnect Controller Services is how the software knows which wash service number to ask for when sending requests to a controller. Follow these instructions to set up Controller Services within WashConnect.
- Log in to the local, site level of WashConnect (this will typically be the name of your wash).
- Select System Setup > Devices > Controller Services.
- In the Profit Center list, select the profit center for your controller service.
- Click the Add button to begin making a service.
- For the PLU# field, type the same number as the WBC Controller Service number noted in step #4 of the previous section.
- The Price and Name fields will not directly affect the end-user. The next phase will cover the price and name fields that will affect the end-user.
- Define whether this service is a Base, Extra or Retract service within the Type drop down field.
- Click the save button to finalize your changes.
WashConnect Sales Items
Sales Items are how we define what the end user will see and pay to allow this Wash Sales Item to be performed by the controller.
- Log in to WashConnect from either the local or corporate level.
a. Log in to Local if this sales item should only be viewed or edited from a specific site location.
b. Log in to Corporate if this sales item should be viewed & edited from the local or corporate level. - Select Configuration > Goods and Services > Sales Items.
- Define the profit center for this item within the Profit center drop down.
- Click the Add button to load the Sales item form.
- Set the Type, Name, and Price of this sales item.
a. This Name and Price will affect the end-user. - Make any other changes to this Sales Item, and then click the Save button.
a. For more information, see the Sales Item descriptions WashConnect Web Help topic. - Click the Add Controller Service button to load the controller service prompt.
a. If logged into the Local Site level, locate the controller service number set in the previous phase, then click the box to add a checkmark which will assign the controller service to the sales item.
b. If logged into the Corporate level, type the number of the controller service and then locate the site(s) that have the controller service number assigned in the last phase from the drop down list of options.
WashConnect Profiles – Auto Sentry
Profiles are how the software knows which devices can sell what sales items and when they can sell said items. The Retail profile only needs to be made once for a daily sales profile, but additional ones can be made if you desire to offer specials based on time/date. If you already have a Retail profile, simply edit the existing profile and add the new sales item(s) made in the previous phase.

Considerations
Always test your sales items fully by selling them from the intended sales devices, and performing the wash in the tunnel to confirm all equipment operates as it should. Due to this uncertainty, it is always advised to perform a Ghost Wash before washing actual vehicles.
