Tunnel Settings Overview
The following is an overview of the Tunnel Setting sections in the WBC:
- Conveyor: Conveyor related settings such as start conditions and Conveyor Relay.
- Debug: Primarily reserved for automating controller based logging for troubleshooting purposes, this is typically configured during initial install.
- Entrance Management: Settings that specifically effect the Entrance Management sensor, such as if a roller is fired when this sensor is triggered.
- Error Alert Email: Allows error alert emails to automatically be sent based on settings set within the 48 auxiliary input section.
- Exit Sign Output: The relay number that is wired to the Exit Sign.
- Gate: Allows turning on/off the Auto-Gate, Invert Gate, and setting the Auto-Gate Delay value.
- General: The primary section for essential settings needed to run the wash, including minimum/maximum car length as well as the Wash Input Device.
- Hand Finished Services Alert: Exclusively for sites that are offering Hand Services, allows the programming of an output that will activate when a Hand Service has been purchased to alert your team. Ignore this section if you do not offer Hand Services.
- Pickup Bed Retract: Settings that only effect the pickup bed sensor, omit this section if you do not have a Pickup Bed Sensor in your tunnel.
- POS Gate Control: Allows for one or more ICS-POS or stand-alone Auto Sentry devices stacking cars to a single WBC. When gate control is turned on, each ICS-POS requests a gate-open token from the WBC. Upon receiving the gate-open token, the Auto Sentry raises the gate for the car to pull in front of the tunnel.
-
Pulse: Settings that only effect the pulse device and it’s readings.
WARNING: Adjusting these settings can effect the ability to wash vehicles correctly. - Receipt: Only used if there is a receipt printer connected to the WBC and site is not using ICS Point of Sales or Payment Terminals to print receipts.
-
Relay Flash On/Off: Allows toggling of relays tied to incandescent lights to create a strobe/flash effect.
WARNING: Tying anything other than an incandescent light to an output that is set to flash can results in damage to tunnel equipment and potential electrical issues. - Roller: Settings that are directly tied to the roller fork operation, including how long a roller fork activates and whether or not the controller is expecting a roller signal.
- RS-485 Devices: Address settings for serial devices connected to the WBC, such as the 16-digit entrance keypad.
- Shift: Shows the Shift number since the last time the controller was reset, along with Tax Rate settings.
- Vehicle Upper/Lower Output: Only used with the Pickup Bed Sensor.
Refer to the Tunnel Master wbc User Manual for more details on each specific Tunnel Setting.
Considerations
- Make a Backup of the WBC settings before AND after making any settings changes.
- There is no "Save" button that must be pressed to finalize any settings changes; As soon as a value is put into a field, it is automatically saved.
- Log Out of the Tunnel Master wbc web portal if you are done making changes to your settings.
