A ghost wash is a term for a test wash that does not actually use a vehicle, but instead fools the sensors in order to check for proper timing and operation of equipment in the tunnel.
Example: Site would like to perform test wash after changing settings in the tunnel controller.
The first thing we need to do is load a service onto the stack. There are a few potential ways to perform this, such as redeeming a Club membership on an employee vehicle, or by loading a Free Wash ticket. These instructions will assume we are granting a free wash and loading that onto the stack.
You can perform a Ghost Wash, there are two different instructions depending on the device:
1. WashConnect
WashConnect
- Ensure Stack Controller and Stack Management are open on their respective devices.
- On an attended Point of Sale, login to WashConnect and select TouchPOS > Open Shift.
- Press the Free Wash button before choosing the service to test.
- Performing this step requires appropriate security access, please work with your team if you require access to this function.
- Fill out any Free Wash Prompts that appear on the screen, If configured in your system.
- Contact ICS if you would like a Free Wash Prompt to appear.
- Click the Finalize button to complete the transaction.
- If prompted to add the vehicle to stack, confirm with YES.
- Alternately, you can print the ticket and scan or enter the code on a Payment Terminal, if needed.
- Before proceeding, cover the gate phot eyes with a towel or cloth or something similar.
- You can confirm this is working by checking the Gate indicator on the tunnel controller is illuminated.

This sends the Ghost Car through the wash. - Physically confirm by sight if the rollers pop on the top of the track.

- If the initial Ghost Wash goes well, it is recommended to perform a final test wash with an employee vehicle before washing customer vehicles.
